In our first Artsmark in action blog we hear from Julia Wisbey, Head of Drama and Senior Leader in Personal Development at Admiral Lord Nelson School, a secondary school in Portsmouth.
This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week! We want to celebrate the importance of creativity and how this can help support children and young people’s wellbeing.
Here at Artis, we strongly believe that the arts inspire and motivate children’s creativity, allowing them to find their voice and open up their imagination. As well as giving them a space to explore challenging themes more openly outside of the formal learning environment, the arts help to build young people’s confidence, resilience and self-esteem.
